These terms govern your use of everydaytechreviews.com (the “site”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
Everyday Tech Reviews is an independent, owner-run publication based in Kentucky, United States. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to that publication and its owner.
2. What the site is
The site publishes buying guides, comparisons, reviews and explainers about consumer technology. Everything on it is general information and opinion. It is not professional, financial, legal, electrical or safety advice, and it is not a substitute for the manufacturer’s documentation or a qualified professional.
Our guides are research-based: we compare specification sheets and maker documentation against published testing and the owner feedback reported by named outlets. We do not operate a test lab and we do not handle the products. How that research is done is set out in our Editorial Policy. Product details, availability and prices change constantly; always check the retailer’s listing before you buy.
3. Affiliate links and advertising
The site earns commissions from Amazon and shows advertising served by Google. Details, including the required Amazon statements, are in our Disclosure & Disclaimer. We are not the seller of any product. Your purchase is a contract between you and the retailer, and the retailer’s and manufacturer’s terms, returns policies and warranties apply.
4. Our content and your licence to use it
The articles, images we created, videos, graphics, logo and code on the site belong to us or are used under licence, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may read, print and share links to our content for personal, non-commercial use, and quote short passages with a link and credit. You may not copy, republish, scrape, mirror, translate, sell or otherwise reproduce substantial parts of the site, including by automated means or for training or building a competing dataset or product, without our written permission. Product names, logos and press photographs belong to their owners.
5. Comments and other content you submit
You may comment on articles. By submitting a comment or message you confirm that it is your own, that it is lawful, and that we may publish, edit, shorten, move or remove it, and reply to it publicly. You keep ownership of what you write and grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to display it on the site and in our communications. You must not post anything that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, obscene, misleading, infringing, spam, advertising, or that contains someone else’s personal information. We moderate at our discretion and are not obliged to publish or keep any comment. You are responsible for what you post.
6. Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe material on the site infringes your copyright, email support@everydaytechreviews.com with: your contact details; a description of the copyrighted work; the address of the material on our site; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We act promptly on complete notices, including removing or correctly crediting product images on request.
7. Third-party sites and services
The site links to and embeds content from other websites and services, including retailers, manufacturers, YouTube and social networks. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms, privacy practices or the accuracy of listings, prices or stock they show.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to interfere with the site’s operation or security, attempt to access areas you are not authorised to use, introduce malicious code, use automated tools to harvest content or personal information, misrepresent your identity, or use the site for any unlawful purpose. We may restrict or block access to protect the site or its readers.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that any product will meet your needs or perform as described by its maker or by the published reviews and owner feedback we summarise.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill or purchases, arising from your use of the site, reliance on its content, or any product or service bought through a link on it, even if we were advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from content you submit to the site or from your breach of these terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally (please email us first; most things can be) will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Kentucky, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place whose law gives you mandatory protections, you keep those protections and the right to bring proceedings in your own courts.
13. Changes, severability and the whole agreement
We may update these terms at any time by posting the new version here with a new date; continued use of the site after that means you accept them. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. These terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Disclosure & Disclaimer are the entire agreement between you and us about the site.
