Everyday Tech Reviews is reader-supported. Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This page explains exactly how that works, what it does and does not influence, and the limits of what our content can promise.
Amazon Associates and the Amazon Influencer Program
As an Amazon Associate, Everyday Tech Reviews earns from qualifying purchases.
Everyday Tech Reviews is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We also take part in the Amazon Influencer Program, which is why you will see links to our Amazon storefront.
When you click an Amazon link here, Amazon records that you arrived from this site. If you buy something during that visit (or add it to your cart and complete the order within a limited window), Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is the same either way. We do not see who you are or what you bought: Amazon gives us aggregate reports only.
Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Certain content that appears on this site comes from Amazon. This content is provided “as is” and is subject to change or removal at any time.
Prices and availability
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of the product.
Where a guide shows a price, it came from Amazon’s data at the time shown. Where it does not, that is deliberate: prices move daily and we would rather you check the live listing than trust a number that has gone stale.
Other affiliate programs and advertising
Amazon is currently our only affiliate program. If we join others, we will list them here and mark those links the same way.
We also show display advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads are selected by Google, not by us. An ad appearing next to a guide is not an endorsement, and advertisers have no say in what we write. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out.
What affiliate income does not change
- Which products we pick. Picks come from the research process in our Editorial Policy. A product with no affiliate link can still be the pick.
- Verdicts. “Skip it” sections exist because they are useful, even though they earn nothing.
- Rankings. Nobody can pay for a position, a rating, a badge or a “best” label.
- Corrections. If we got something wrong we fix it and say so, whether or not the fix costs a sale.
Sponsored content, free products and brand contact
We do not publish sponsored posts or paid placements. We may email a brand to let it know its product was a pick and to ask for official product images or specifications; that contact is one-way, is never paid, and never changes a verdict. If we ever receive a product free of charge, the guide will say so at the top and the product will be judged like any other.
How our recommendations are made
Our guides are research-based. We compare manufacturer specification sheets and support documentation against published testing and measurements from outlets that run them, and against the owner feedback those outlets and published review roundups report. Factual claims are checked against sources before a guide goes live. We do not read retailer review pages, we do not track prices, and we do not run a test lab, and we do not claim to. Ratings, “best for” labels and verdicts are opinions formed from that research, offered in good faith, and they can change as products, firmware and prices change.
General disclaimer
- Informational only. Nothing here is professional, financial, legal, electrical or safety advice. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and your local codes for anything you install, mount or plug in.
- Your setup is unique. Compatibility, performance and fit depend on hardware, software, network and habits we cannot see. Check the maker’s compatibility list before you buy.
- Retailer terms apply. You buy from the retailer, not from us. Returns, warranties, shipping and support are governed by the retailer’s and manufacturer’s terms.
- Trademarks. Product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification only. Their appearance here does not imply that they endorse this site.
- Product images. Official product photos are used courtesy of their manufacturers or through Amazon’s licensed content. If you own an image and want it removed or credited differently, email us and we will act quickly.
