Editorial Policy

Last updated: January 2026
At Everyday Tech Reviews, the goal is simple: help real people make better tech decisions without the hype, pressure, or confusion that usually comes with buying gear.
This page explains how content is created here, how products are evaluated, and how we stay independent and transparent.
Editorial Independence
Every article, guide, and recommendation on Everyday Tech Reviews is created independently.
No brand, advertiser, manufacturer, or affiliate partner has input into what we publish or how products are ranked. If something is recommended, it’s because we believe it makes sense for real-world use — not because someone paid for placement.
If a cheaper option is the smarter buy, we’ll say that.
If an upgrade doesn’t make sense, we’ll say that too.
How We Evaluate Products
Everyday Tech Reviews focuses on how products actually fit into daily life, not just how they look on a spec sheet.
Our content is based on a mix of:
- Hands-on experience when available
- Independent research and spec analysis
- Real-world use cases and common buyer needs
- Industry benchmarks, manufacturer documentation, and trusted sources
- Comparisons against similar products in the same category
Not every product is tested in a lab or under controlled conditions. When hands-on testing isn’t possible, conclusions are based on research, documented performance, long-term user feedback, and practical use scenarios.
The goal is always the same:
Who is this actually for, and is it worth the money right now?
Accuracy & Updates
Tech changes fast, and so do prices, availability, and performance over time.
We do our best to keep content accurate and current, but:
- Specs and pricing may change
- Software updates can impact performance
- Older articles may reflect the market at the time they were written
Content is reviewed and updated when needed. Major updates are reflected in the article or its publication date so readers know what’s current.
Affiliate Relationships
Some links on Everyday Tech Reviews are affiliate links. If you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.
Those commissions help support the site and my family, and allow me to keep publishing honest, practical content.
Affiliate relationships never influence:
- What we recommend
- How products are ranked
- The opinions shared in reviews
We only recommend products we believe offer real value. Full details are available on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Sponsored Content
We do not currently publish paid or sponsored reviews.
If that ever changes, sponsored content will be clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial recommendations.
Corrections & Reader Feedback
If something looks off, outdated, or unclear, we want to know.
Reader feedback helps keep this site useful and accurate. Corrections are reviewed and made promptly, and meaningful updates are noted.
